The Hundred Eliminator: Manchester Originals Men
FEATUREManchester Originals will compete in the Men's Competition Eliminator. Find out how they've got there.
A nail-biting finish at Emirates Old Trafford in the final group match proved the decider for the final Eliminator spot. Manchester Originals beat Oval Invincibles with a ball to spare, sealing their place in Friday's clash.
Originals have often thrilled with the bat. Jos Buttler smashed 203 runs in typical swashbuckling fashion before being ruled out of the competition with injury. But fellow opener Phil Salt has more than delivered: his 313 is the second-highest tally in the competition.
And who could forget when Originals piled on the highest total ever in The Hundred?!
With the ball, Josh Little has had an extraordinary impact. Since replacing Sean Abbott, who departed on international duty, Little has nine wickets in just three matches. His five for just 13 runs conceded against Invincibles was not only critical in their qualification, but were the best figures ever in The Hundred.
Originals face London Spirit on Friday 2 September, for a spot in the Final the following day.
