Brave hold off Invincibles

Southern Brave successfully defended their first innings tally of 153 to defeat Oval Invincibles.

Smriti Mandhana top scored with 46 off 25 balls while Freya Kemp (24) and eventual Match Hero Georgia Adams (18) put up useful scores of their own.

Adams’ influence increased with the ball in hand as the 28-year-old claimed a pair of early wickets.

The hosts were unable to rally, with only Lauren Winfield-Hill able to score more than 20 in an ultimately disappointing innings.
