England Women’s Charlie Dean, who lifted the trophy as part of London Spirit’s team in 2024, said:
"August is fast becoming one of the best months of the summer. The Hundred has developed into an excellent competition, we play in front of fantastic crowds and even from the middle you get a sense of how the crowd is so full of families and young people. The cricket itself is high quality, the format is accessible and quick, and we’re all really looking forward to getting back to it and hopefully defending our title."
Oval Invincibles’ Sam Billings, also seeking to defend his team’s title, said:
"It will be great to kick off The Hundred with a sold-out derby at Lord’s. From our point of view, hopefully we can go and inflict an early blow on Spirit in their own backyard – but either way I’m sure it will be loud and full. I loved The Hundred last year, we’ve worked hard at Invincibles to build a really strong core and I’d back us to be competitive again this season. The Kia Oval was a great place to play last summer and I know the boys will be buzzing to get back to it in South London."
All games will again be live on Sky Sports and BBC broadcast and digital channels throughout the competition.
