London Spirit and Transport for London launch limited edition playing shirt
NEWSThe shirt will be worn by London Spirit men’s and women’s teams in the opening home fixture against Birmingham Phoenix at Lord’s on 27 July
Two iconic brands, London Spirit and Transport for London (TfL) have teamed up ahead of the return of blockbuster sporting entertainment event, The Hundred, with a brand-new Underground-inspired playing shirt to be worn in the opening home fixture.
The playing shirt marks the second year of the partnership, following a range of TfL-inspired London Spirit apparel launched in 2023, with the likes of Heather Knight, Dan Lawrence, Meg Lanning and Liam Dawson set on donning the shirt in opening game at Lord’s.
The limited-edition shirt is available to purchase via The Hundred's Online Store and at Lord’s Cricket Ground for all London Spirit home matches during the competition. The innovative design takes inspiration and pays homage the familiar Barman moquette that sits alongside the iconic TfL roundel and London Spirit iconography.
Ellen Sankey, TfL’s Brand Licensing Manager, said:
"We are delighted to have worked with the London Spirit team again to create another exciting design for cricket fans to enjoy whether they’re traveling on the Tube to watch The Hundred, or watching the matches with friends. Like the Tube, cricket is a huge part of London’s history, so it’s great to see how London Spirit has used our iconic heritage to make these new innovative designs."
Londoner and new addition to London Spirit, Cordelia Griffith said:
"The playing shirt is really cool, I love the design and think fans will too. I’m incredibly excited to make my debut for London Spirit this summer and can't wait to experience playing at Lord's in front of a packed-out home crowd."
