Oval Invincibles found themselves under the pump early in their batting innings. But they recovered thanks to Tom Curran and Jimmy Neesham to beat Manchester Originals and win the Men's Competition
Early wickets, led by opening bowler Richard Gleeson, helped Originals reduce Invincibles to 34 runs for five wickets after 36 balls.
Then Tom Curran and Jimmy Neesham came together and changed the match. Their partnership was a record for The Hundred, 127 from 65 balls. Neesham struck 57 not out.
Meerkat Match Hero Curran hit a fabulous 67 not out, which helped Invincibles to 161.
Phil Salt and Jos Buttler got off to a good start but Invincibles pegged them back. Danny Briggs, in his first appearance in The Hundred this year, took a wicket in his first five balls.
Nathan Sowter then took an outrageous juggle catch on the boundary.
Max Holden and Jamie Overton tried to get Originals back into the match, but the target was too steep. Invincibles leave Lord's as champions.
