Meet the Women's Competition Finalists: Southern Brave
FEATUREAfter finishing top of the Group Stage, Southern Brave are automatically through to the Women's Competition Final, taking place at Lord's on Sunday 27 August. We look at the key players who've got them there.
Georgia Adams
No man or woman has more wickets than the 16 that Adams has recorded in The Hundred 2023, a tally which includes the four taken against London Spirit.
She has also contributed with the bat, hitting 109 this year. Adams is one of Brave's most dangerous all-round players.
Smriti Mandhana
Mandhana currently ranks fifth in the Women’s Competition for runs scored with 234, including 50s against Trent Rockets and Welsh Fire.
She will hope to break new ground for the Brave by helping their women win the Final for the first time - having lost at this stage twice already - but already has her own slice of history, becoming the first woman to score 500 runs in The Hundred history.
Danni Wyatt
Wyatt places fourth among all women for runs scored in The Hundred this year with a total of 236 - two ahead of teammate Mandhana. As an opening pair, they are utterly dominant.
She always looks to get the Brave innings off to a positive start and her two 50s highlight just how dangerous she can be when she gets going.
Maia Bouchier
Northern Superchargers' Phoebe Litchfield is the only woman with more runs than Bouchier's tally of 264 this year - having two more runs after facing eight more balls. Basically, Bouchier scores big and scores quickly.
She has also proven very useful in the field, with her memorable moments including this direct hit to get Welsh Fire's Laura Harris out.
