The Hundred’s big hitters
FEATUREWe have already seen boundaries galore at The Hundred so far, but who are the batters who can really hit a big six?
Liam Livingstone:
Livingstone has a reputation for going big with the bat. He hit some huge sixes for England and has continued to do so for the Birmingham Phoenix, leading the way with 8 sixes so far. Here’s a clip of just one of his massive sixes against the London Spirit.
Rachel Priest:
Priest’s batting has helped the Trent Rockets get back into the hunt for the top three. She has managed to hit four sixes in just 67 balls faced so far, including this six to help reach her 50 against the London Spirit.
Jonny Bairstow:
Despite only playing two innings in The Hundred so far, Bairstow is still joint top for sixes scored with eight. Here’s a clip from one of his five amazing maximums against the Southern Brave.
Danni Wyatt:
The Southern Brave’s Danni Wyatt is also joint top for sixes with Priest on four. She has helped her side reach the top of the standings with four wins from five matches and below is her match-winning six against the Birmingham Phoenix.
Moeen Ali:
The Birmingham Phoenix captain, Ali has put in some big performances with the bat so far for his side. He already has seven sixes and has the ability to add many more. He has helped guide the Phoenix to second in the standings and his impressive batting puts him fifth in the scoring charts.
