Becky Hill

During the interval The Kia Oval was treated to a spellbinding performance by Becky Hill. Live music is a feature throughout every game of The Hundred and there was no better way to start that than with Becky. She even got Sophie Ecclestone and Lizelle Lee dancing!

Cross two in two

The Manchester Originals captain wasn't done with that six. She made her mark bowling too. The second ball of her spell, she had Alice Capsey caught, and then next ball phenomenally bowled Grace Gibbs.

Van Niekerk the hero

But Kate Cross wasn't the day's winning captain. That honour fell to Dane van Niekerk, who was magnificent in the run chase. She's the South Africa captain and played with the composure of a player with nearly 200 international caps. Van Niekerk hit 56 from 42 balls including the winning runs, and was named Match Hero. A brilliant innings!
